Free printable how-to-draw sheets for kids

What's on each step sheet

The finished drawing at the top, the numbered steps below it, and a blank box at the bottom for your child's own try.

For teachers: using step sheets in class

One sheet per table, or project it. You may print as many copies as your own class needs. Please don't sell them or post the PDF files online. Link to this page instead. The full printable license is in the terms of use.

Printing tips

  1. Print at 100% size, not "fit to page", so the step pictures stay large.
  2. Use cardstock for directed drawings that go on a bulletin board.
  3. Black and white is fine. The steps are drawn to read without color.

What paper should I use?

Plain printer paper works. Cardstock is sturdier if your child will color with markers. Print at 100% size so the step pictures stay large.

Can I print copies for my class?

Yes. You may print as many copies as your own class or family needs. Please don't sell them or post the PDF files online. Link to this page instead.
