Draw the candy cane
- 6 steps
Christmas drawings for kids, step by step: a Christmas tree, Santa, a snowman, reindeer and gingerbread. Each tutorial has big step pictures and a free step sheet to print. Draw them on their own, or turn one into a card, a gift tag or a picture for a grandparent.
Fold a sheet of paper in half, draw on the front and write inside. A drawing on a small square of cardstock makes a gift tag. Teachers: a snowman and a Christmas tree work well for a whole class.
Snow days and the first weeks of January need drawings too. The winter drawings for kids page has snowmen, penguins and polar bears.

Start with a circle for the face and a triangle hat on top. Add a big cloud-shaped beard under the face, then an oval body with a belt across the middle. Rosy cheeks and a pom-pom on the hat finish him.
A candy cane, a Christmas tree, a snowman and a wrapped present are all built from simple shapes. A star or a bell works for the youngest artists.
