Tips for little artists

  • Tip: Press lightly with the pencil first. Trace the lines you like with the marker, then erase the rest.

  • Tip: Keep the curved lines the same distance apart, so the panels look like stripes.

  • Tip: Draw the band after all the panel lines. It covers the ends of the lines above it.

Make it yours

  • Beach volleyball

Draw sand and a few waves under the ball, with a sun in the corner.

  • Ball over the net

Draw a net with crossing lines under the ball, as if it is flying over.

  • Team colors

Color the panels in your favorite team's colors.

Common mistakes and easy fixes

  • The lines are straight

Curve every panel line so it follows the round shape of the ball.

  • The band looks flat

Bend both band lines up a little at the ends, like a smile.

  • The band has lines inside it

Erase the old panel lines inside the band, so it looks like one smooth strip.
